Fleet Services (formerly Transport Section) encompasses both garage and fleet services on St Lucia, Ipswich and Gatton campuses. The section is responsible for the administration of University-owned vehicles, the coordination of the pool fleet and the Intercampus Bus Service Timetable. The Garage is responsible for the maintenance and repairs of a diverse range of passenger vehicles, trucks, tractors, small motors, pumps and mowers.
The key functions of Fleet Services Section include:
| » | the maintenance and mechanical repair of all University vehicles, including mileage and service logs; | |
| » | providing on-site refuelling of vehicles; | |
| » | providing in-house cleaning and detailing - to maintain safety and hygiene standards of all University vehicles; | |
| » | managing University vehicle pool fleet, including booking, purchasing and selling; | |
| » | hiring University vehicles to departments (i.e. sedans, station wagons, utilities, 2 ton trucks, minibuses, vans and 4 wheel drives); | |
| » | organising panel repairs and smash repairs with external repairers and University insurance officer; | |
| » | providing education on vehicle usage. |

Intercampus Bus Service - Bus Timetable
The University of Queensland offers UQ staff and students an intercampus bus service which runs between the St Lucia, Gatton and Ipswich campuses (Please note: The use of this service is restricted to bona fide UQ staff and students. It is NOT a public service.)

The Intercampus Bus stop at St Lucia is located at Chancellor's Place, Bus Stop A, near the Brian Wilson Chancellery.
We would advise that wherever possible we run the service according to the exact schedule. However, passengers using the intermediate stops (between campuses) are requested to ensure that they arrive a minimum of 5 minutes prior to the allotted time or call and confirm their pick up.
