The Furniture Section is responsible for the procurement of all loose items of furniture for the University, e.g. chairs, desks, tables, mobiles, filing cabinets, etc.

The Section is also responsible for:

providing soft furnishings (e.g. blackout curtains and blinds) for offices and centrally-controlled teaching rooms; |

delivering and installing office, screen-based equipment and teaching furniture; |

repairing/replacing/disposing of furniture; |

delivering the White and Yellow Pages telephone directories to all departments; |
| » |
providing internal furniture and office arrangements for University activities: e.g. Alumni Book Fair, examinations, etc.; |
| » |
transporting surplus furniture and equipment to Auction Centre for disposal; and |
| » |
providing internal design and decoration methodologies for various projects. |
