What is Electronic Security?

Electronic Security includes access systems (card readers and electronic door access systems), intruder alarm systems (keypads and motion sensors), Closed Circuit Television (CCTV, i.e. cameras) and the monitoring of room/buildings by Security.

How do I organise a electronic security installed in my area?

What are the typical faults that are logged?

  • Card reader not reading cards
  • Card reader is loose/coming off the wall
  • Door is not responding to valid cards
  • Alarm system key pad buttons are hard to press/are sticky
  • Emergency call point and/or lift intercom is not working
  • Key pad is beeping
  • Door siren is continually in alarm without any cause for alarm.
  • Automatic door is slow to close or is not closing properly
  • No image is being sent from the camera.

What do I need to do if I want to manage building access cards and alarm system PINs for my area, using the security systems and/or applications?
