Even though the University makes every effort to keep its community safe, personal safety is everyone's responsibility. Like anywhere, some paths and roads on campus are safer than others - because they are a main thoroughfare, better lit, more closely patrolled etc. The best advice is to keep to well-beaten tracks during darkness.

Emergency call points - St Lucia

The St Lucia campus is equipped with emergency call points to be used for emergencies only. Pressing the button provides immediate communication with Security and activates an alarm which brings Security personnel to that location.

On the Ipswich and Gatton campuses, safety point or help phones are located around the campuses which link to the Security Office for enquiries.
