The Works Control Centre (WCC) on St Lucia and Gatton campuses provides the day-to-day processing, coordination and monitoring of all work requests on all University sites, and is also responsible for tracking and following up work orders if they are not closed out of the system.

The key functions of the WCC include logging and monitoring urgent maintenance requests, breakdown maintenance (corrective) and new works.
The WCC is also responsible for managing the Preventive and Deferred Maintenance systems, issuing weekly job schedules and preventive maintenance task sheets to Maintenance Section trades-staff and ssuing keys to contractors. A weekly Works Coordination Meeting reviews the status of deferred maintenance and all construction and engineering projects. This meeting is attended by all supervisory and project management staff with delegated responsibility.
