How do I order a key?

Contact your Department Key Custodian. If you are not sure who your Key Custodian is then contact the Security Technical Office.

Depending on the type of key you wish to order, the Key Custodian either makes the order directly with the contracted Locksmith or the Key Custodian makes the order with the Security Technical Office.

What do I do if I lose a key, find a key or have an obsolete key?

  • Report the details to your of the key loss (i.e. when/where/how/who etc.) , or the report details of the found or obsolete key and hand the key, to your Department Key Custodian. If you are not sure who your Key Custodian is then contact the Security Technical Office.
  • Key Custodian will report this to the Security Technical Office.

How do I get a new lock installed or the removal of old locks?

How do I get my faulty lock repaired?

If you lock is faulty, please log a work order through PF Assist:

What are the typical lock requests that are logged?

  • key is stuck in lock
  • key is hard to turn in lock or key is sticky in lock
  • key just spins in lock and does not unlock/lock the door
  • key pad buttons are hard to press/are sticky
  • lock barrel has become loose
  • lock latch (tongue) does not catch the strike plate properly.
  • door handle has dropped
  • door handle is difficult to operate
  • snib on back of the door not working
